How to get vacation pictures on your IPhone to Google Drive

When I go on vacation these days, my IPhone 5 is what I use to take pictures.  I could use an upgrade to get a better quality camera but for now it works fine and it is what I have in my possession most of the time.  Go with what is easy, right?  So after a vacation, I may want to save some pictures from my iPhone onto my Google drive to use for a blog post. For example, here is a gorgeous pic of the Flatirons in Boulder Colorado that I took on a recent trip there.

To get this picture here on this blog post, this is what I did:
1. If you don't have it downloaded already, download the Google Drive app on to your iPhone.
2. Sign in to your Google account in the Google Drive App
3. Now you should be in the app all logged in.
4. If you want to put the pictures into a new folder click the blue + circle and add a new folder giving it a meaningful name such as "Jean's Colorado trip 2017"
5. Then open up that new folder and click the blue + circle and upload from your Iphone Photos and Videos
6. Now you can select what photo album that you want to get pictures from on your IPhone.
7. I select My Photostream
8. Then I tap on the pictures that I want to upload to my Google Drive.
9. Then tap on blue upload "UPLOAD" in the upper right side of the screen
10. You can see the photos uploading on your screen.  I usually just let them hang out and finish without doing anything else on the phone until they are completed uploading.
Now you can log into your Google Apps and use the photos that you have put in your Drive.
