How to restore lost email addresses in an email contact group in GMail

I recently helped a friend who somehow lost all the email addresses in an email contact group. He had spend a fair amount of time typing in 50+ email addresses and creating a group with all those email addresses in it. This made it easy to send out an email to the whole group. Until he noticed that somehow all the email addresses disappeared from that group when he tried to use it recently. We never figured out how they disappeared but fortunately Gmail makes it easy to find them in this situation.




To restore email addresses to an email contact group in Gmail:
Go to Contacts
Click on a group you want to restore users into
Click the More box
Click Restore contacts
Select the time to restore back to
Click restore
